EVOLUTION OF DIGITAL PENETRATION IN THE FINANCIAL SECTOR
During the first quarter of 2023, 84.9% of the Spanish digital population has used Banking & Finance sector apps, which represents a growth of 0.5% compared to the same period last year, when 84.5% had made use of this category.

BBVA, CAIXABANK AND IMAGIN, AT THE FOREFRONT OF DIGITAL GROWTH.
These companies maintain the leadership both in the sector and in each of its subsectors, BBVA (94.94 points) and Caixabank (90.88) top the traditional banking ranking and Imagin (79.10) the neobanca ranking.

ABOUT THE INDEX
The MPIx (Mobile Performance Index) scores applications by sector from 0 to 100 based on an algorithm that uses millions of real-time data from a representative sample of 12,600 users monitored monthly through technology that passively observes the digital footprints of financial services customers under consent.
The main variables that the Index evaluates are market share, customer engagement with the digital services they use and time of use or time per session, in order to make a fair comparison of the different mobile applications, knowing not only the exclusive digital users of an entity but their digital relationship with other companies in the sector and their digital habits in more than 20 categories of consumption.
